Wear something green if you don’t want to get pinched and eat something green for your health’s sake today and everyday! 

🍀Green foods are an extremely important part of a healthy diet. 

🍀Green foods are power foods, which are necessary for cleansing the blood, detoxifying the liver and regulating our blood sugar. I encourage my clients to have something  green at every meal. 
 
🍀Start with breakfast, it's so easy to add some healthy greens, such as spinach, kale or spirulina to your smoothie. My favorite green food to add to my smoothie is spirulina, which is considered a powerful superfood due to its rich source of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that promote body and brain health.

🍀Most green foods are considered super foods and below are the reasons why:

🍀Green foods contain a high amount of antioxidants, such as vitamin A, C and E, as well as nutrients iron and zinc, which protect your body.

🍀Green foods are loaded with special chemicals called phytonutrients, which have a good effect on the body after they are consumed and boost your immune system.

🍀Green foods are extremely low in calories since they contain a large amount of water. You can eat plenty of green foods, and you don’t have to worry about gaining any weight.

🍀Green foods are very low carb and are packed with fiber, which helps to keep you full throughout the day.

🍀Green foods are low in sugar and not processed, which can help regulate your blood sugars throughout the day.

🍀Vegetables, especially green ones, help alkalize the body, keeping your PH at a healthy, stable level.

🍀Dark, leafy greens (think spinach and kale) are high in omega-3 fatty acids, which are vital for all body functions and lower bad cholesterol.

Today is International Women's Day** so I am showi Today is International Women's Day** so I am showing my appreciation for all the special women who are a part of my life or who have been a part of my life including my most important mentor, Marsha Piacun.  Thanks to Marsha, she provided me with the upmost support, encouragement, guidance and all the tools, I needed to becoming a RD and a much better version of myself.  I also want give a shout out to my mother, sisters daughters and to all my special friends and colleagues.
