Chickpea Fusillli with Mixed Vegetables

This is a great 3-step recipe made with the three food group: lean protein, complex carbs and healthy fat.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Chickpea Fusilli or other Chickpea Pasta
  • 1 lb Extra Lean Ground Turkey
  • Sea Salt & Black Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 cup Frozen Vegetable Mix
  • 1/2 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 Tablespoon of Tamari Sauce

Directions:

  • Cook the pasta according to the package directions.
  • Meanwhile, heat a pan over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and season with salt and pepper. Cook for seven to eight minutes or until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  • Add the frozen vegetables, broth and Tamari sauce. Cook for three to four minutes or until the vegetables are fork-tender. Add the cooked pasta and toss to combine.
  • Divide evenly into bowls or plates. Enjoy!
